Before you pack everything up, it is highly important for you to know about those items that are not allowed to be moved along. Keep on reading to know the list of non-allowable things.

1. Hazardous materials

These are such materials that are highly flammable, corrosive, or explosive and thus, they are quite risky to take along during the move. These are the items that are usually available at your home. These are dangerous items and thus, movers avoid them to shift as they pose a serious threat to the safety of the people who shift them. Some of the items that fall under this category are:

2. Perishable Items

As the name suggests, these are such items that easily get destroyed due to high temperatures or other environmental conditions. Perishable items usually require a refrigerator to stay in intact condition. So, it is of no use to move such things along with you. Either finish them before the move or donate them to someone needy. In this category, the other things that fall other than food are plants and living things. They might get spoiled or dead during the move. Perishable items that do not require any service during transit or are properly packed can be considered for shifting by the movers. This is also done under special circumstances only like if the move is not long enough. The list of such items includes:

Frozen Food

Opened Food Products

Refrigerated Food

Plants

Produce

3. Personal or sentimental items

You might have a lot of personal and sentimental items that hold great value for you. Do not let such items be moved by the movers as there are high risk of getting them damaged or misplaced. You will not be able to afford to lose such items. Also, no money can replace the value of any personal or sentimental item. So, it would be better if you shift them along with you in your personal vehicle. Even movers refrain from moving such items because they do not want them to get damaged during the move. Some of the items included in this category are:

Car Keys

Car Titles

Cash

CDs

4. Items to be moved under special circumstances

There might be some items that the movers can shift in their moving truck under special circumstances only. On requesting them and with appropriate considerations, the movers might allow moving these certain items in the moving truck. These items include plants and food items. The food items that are properly packed and enclosed in a box then can be moved. Similarly, plants are also not allowed in the moving truck but after properly packing them and checking the restrictions of the state in which they are going to be moved, they can be transported in the vehicle. The usual conditions under which these things are allowed to be moved are:

If the items are properly packed.

If it has to be traveled fewer than 150 miles.

If it does not require any servicing during transit.

If it will be delivered within 24 hours of pickup.

If the criteria are met then you can make these items transport in the moving vehicle.

5. Moving the pets

It is highly unwise to move your pet in a moving vehicle. Your pet would require space, ventilation, and most importantly water and food. This is the reason why movers refrain pets from moving inside the vehicle. Also, it is quite dangerous to move the pets in the truck because anything can fall on them and injure them during the move. So, move your furry friend along with you so that it does not become anxious and remains safe also.

To Conclude

At times, it becomes essential to move certain items on your own rather than moving them with the relocation company. Or the other option that you can choose is to discard or dispose of them. After reading this article, you might get an idea of what things you should take along with you and what things you have to discard. Packers and movers in Pune will never allow these items to be moved in their trucks as there are high chances of safety hazards.
